About us- From our Family to Yours

I grew up with sensitive skin and remember arms as red as a lobster as young as 4 years old. From an infant, my mother couldn't use many types of soaps and laundry detergents because of me. I have suffered from eczema and psoriasis for as long as I could remember.

11 years ago, I married the love of my life! She is heath conscious and pays attention to what goes in and on her body. From her I learned that most soaps and products are full of chemicals that are harmful to us. It took a while (hard headed) for me, but I eventually tried all natural soap for the first time. Whoa! What a world of difference! After a few weeks, my eczema and psoriasis is completely gone. No more itching and burning skin! Those bars and bottles full of chemicals that folks use as soap these days are terrible. They may be cheap, but is your health worth saving a couple dollars?

Problem is, we have 4 children and paying $8 or more per bar of soap just won't work. So, I embarked on a mission; learn how to make soap for myself. (My oldest daughter wanting to learn to make soap also had an impact.) I invested in classes and learned from some of the best soap makers around. After formulating multiple iterations of recipes and many test batches, we nailed down the recipe we so desired for our skin. Living in Maine requires a creamy moisturizing soap that battles the harsh winters we endure. Tallow became our main ingredient and we decided to call our company Talley's Soap Company (a play on words). And yes, we do have a mascot, Talley the cow! One day we hope she will lead the face of our company!

Hi, I am Paul and my wife's name is Noelle. We desire to provide each and every one of you the same quality soap products that we use in our own home. We plan to add more and more all natural goodness to our product base as we grow as a company. I hope you give our soaps a try. You won't be disappointed.
